Trip to Ireland

Last weekend I went to Ireland. Mostly Dublin but I was able to travel to Belfast, the Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede Bridge. Here are the photos from my journey there.

First things first, a traditional Irish breakfast. Yes, I had blood pudding...it was quite tasty. 

 Next stop was the Jameson Museum, look at that chandelier.

 Complimentary whiskey tasting, don't mind if I do ;)

 This is a standard here, whiskey and ginger ale, with a lime. The taste definitely grew on me.

The next morning we traveled to Belfast and took a political tour. This is one of the blockades that separates the Catholic, and Protestant parts of town. It was definitely a little eerie to drive around and see all of these walls and blockades up.

 It is tradition for visitors to sign to wall in order to show support for the wall's removal, so each of our group did.

 We went into the protestant part of town and this is a bonfire that they were going to burn in a few days. They hang union Jack symbols, as well as images of the pope and light it on fire. It was absolutely terrifying. In the picture below this one, you can see a car next to it, for an idea of the size of this thing.

Then it was off to the Giant's Causeway!

 Then the Carrick-a-Rede Bridge, which was over 100 feet above ground.

And that was it. I had an amazing time there, it was definitely a whirlwind of one thing after another. But it was so much fun, and I hope to go back one day. That's all for now and I will see you all for my next adventure!
